Patriotic Cookies - Operation Cookie Takeover 3

Image
Operation Cookie Takeover struck again! Here was my offering this time around. I sent a total of 2 dozen, and I totally stole most of the ideas off the internet. But it was for a good cause, right? Oh yeah, OCT finally got a website!  Because I refuse to Facebook that makes me happy! www.operationcookietakeover.sammiebssweets.com Pop on over and either submit a soldier or volunteer to make cookies for next time. :-) Hubby insisted on the 'Merica cookies. They suit our sense of humor. It was my first shot at piping bunting.  I imagine I could have found a tutorial online, but I didn't.  I'll just have to practice and get it right. Saw the dog tag cookies from last OCT, and had to make my own version. I really like these. Well, that's all for today. Enjoy!

Ninja Bridal Shower Cookies!

Image
Yes, ninja bridal shower cookies. I lost my camera again.  But I took the iPhone outside to try to get better pictures.  I failed.  But the cookies came out cute.  And they're gluten free! It was my mom's idea to put the little rings on the bride ninjas.  I never would have thought of that. Anyhoo, that's all for now. Enjoy!

Blue and Gold Graduation Cake

Image
Here's a cake I made for a friend's daughter who is celebrating her high school graduation! I take terrible pictures! Anyhoo, it's a topsy turvy cake and I took the picture from the wrong angle so it just looks weird.  And somehow I left a dent in the front.  AND I took the picture before I added the bows on the yellow ribbons.  I rock! Well, that's all for now. Enjoy!

Superhero Birthday Cake

Hi there!  I'm back.  Blogging has taken a back seat to real life lately.  Sorry about that. Anyhoo, here's a cake I made for a friend's nephew's third birthday.  She e-mailed me a picture of the cake she wanted, so I have no idea where the original inspiration came from, but it's an adorable cake. My sister-in-law disapproves of this cake.  You see, Superman and Batman are DC Comics, and your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is Marvel. Apparently they're not supposed to fraternize. But since the Avengers didn't invite Spider-Man to the party, he can hang out with Superman and Batman on my cake. Do you like the capes?  I thought the capes were such a cute idea!  (Sorry, Edna.) And the very, very best thing about this cake?  I didn't take these pictures! My friend sent them to me from the party.  Now there's a good friend.  The pictures I took sucked. I blame the really bad light in my mustard yellow kitchen.  ick. Well, that's all
